Course Overview

The Bible is not simply a collection of sixty-six books.

It tells one great story.

From Genesis to Revelation, God is working out one eternal purpose—to redeem a people for Himself through Jesus Christ.

The story begins with creation. God made the world good and created men and women in His own image to enjoy fellowship with Him.

That fellowship was broken by sin.

From that moment forward, the rest of Scripture tells the story of God's plan to restore what was lost.

Along the way we meet Abraham, Moses, David, the prophets, John the Baptist, Jesus, the apostles, and the church. Every part of the story moves toward the same goal: God's victory over sin through His Son.

This course is not intended to examine every event recorded in the Bible. Instead, it follows the main storyline that unites the entire Scriptures and shows how each major stage prepares for the next.

As always, we will begin with the biblical text itself, allowing Scripture to explain Scripture and keeping Christ at the center of the story.
